Owner Leonard Getty began his construction career 30 years ago and has extensive experience managing a wide variety of home remodeling projects. His experience includes condo renovations, a commercial medical office building, custom home building, and the development of several neighborhoods in both Central Massachusetts and communities north of Boston. In 1998, Leonard made the decision to focus solely on basement finishing services.
At this time, Leonard started to refinish basements with features such as family rooms, game rooms, kids play areas, media rooms, fitness areas, and wine rooms. This allowed home owners to gain some of the most costs effective living spaces from their existing homes. Today, after 15 years of finishing basements Leonard considers himself a basement finishing specialist, having faced and successfully overcome a variety of design and structural challenges unique to basement remodeling.

We recently had our basement refinished by Leonard Getty and Getty Remodeling and we could not be happier. From start to finish, Lenny handled himself with professionalism, courtesy, and kindness. He was very accommodating and he always put our family first. He never put pressure on us to make a decision or do something we did not want. His demeanor is how customer service should be done.
From the beginning, Lenny worked with us to stay within our budget. He explained things clearly and he showed us where we could save money. We were able to come up with a blueprint that fit our needs and stayed within our budget. Throughout the whole construction, there were no surprises and any changes, no matter how minor or major, were communicated clearly and we were allowed as much time as we needed to discuss them.
Lenny’s work speaks for itself; he is talented, hard working, and knowledgeable and he stands behind his work. Not only is he capable of doing any major project, he does the little things that other contractors neglect. He is capable of creating designs that are luxurious and/or practical. He also went out of his way to help reorganize many things in my basement that were not part of the original blueprint, like central vacuum and outside faucets.
Of all the positive things I could say about Leonard Getty, the one that means the most to me, is how he treated my family. He was extremely friendly and courteous at all time, he went out of his way to say hello each morning, and he created a plan that fit my family. My 2 year old daughter loved him and still asks about Lenny. He assembled a team that was hard working and never brought anyone in to my home that was not trustworthy.
